A Smodnoc is made of latex, if you are allergic to latex you must not use a Smodnoc.

2. Does a Smodnoc prevent STDS?

While condoms have gained general acceptance for their effectiveness in preventing the spread of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) during intercourse, the only real alternative for ensuring protection against diseases during oral-vaginal or oral-anal sex is the use of a dental dam. A Smodnoc performs the same function as a Dental dam reducing the amount the contact with fluids.

3. What is the difference between a Dental dam and a Smodnoc?

Dental dams are small, thin, square pieces of latex that are used for oral-vaginal or oral-anal sex. Their name is derived from their use in dental procedures. Because dental dams act as a barrier to bodily fluids during oral sex by preventing vaginal and anal secretions that contain bacteria and viruses, they help reduce STI transmission. Many STIs, such as herpes, genital warts and HIV, can be transmitted through oral sex. Like condoms, dental dams must be used correctly and consistently in order to be effective. A serious concern is that oral dental dams tend to become displaced from the recipient partner's anal or vaginal area during usage. Smodnocs have been designed to fit on the face to act as an oral protective device by reducing the amount of fluid contact and if used properly is not readily displaced between sexual partners.

4. Can I Reuse?

A Smodnoc is disposable and should not be reused.
